I offer professional support to help you navigate professional and personal crises, and I accompany you on your own personal path. I spent several years working in management consulting as well as in team leadership and organisational management – I integrate these experiences directly into my psychological work.
Give yourself a chance to find a new path – in coaching and systemic counselling sessions in my virtual consulting room, I offer you new perspectives on your current situation, support in finding your way, and guidance through your next steps.
Because your wishes and ideas matter to me – your experiences and your goals come first for me – we will work on a path that is entirely individual to you. Even if you don’t yet know where to start or where it should lead – we start exactly where you are right now.
Get the support you need – you can book sessions easily and flexibly, in a way that fits your everyday life, and log in comfortably from home into my virtual consulting room.
I started my own business as a coach and consultant shortly before my 30th birthday. In August 2020, when the world was already facing the global Covid-19 pandemic, I lived in South Africa and was alone in my apartment during one of the toughest lockdowns in the world. At the same time, I gave up my job in a management consultancy in the hope of working in the non-profit sector and more on psychological issues again. In those moments I felt like my life was collapsing in front of me – in a world full of uncertainty. However, this challenging and quite painful experience taught me some valuable lessons about the importance of developing a healthy relationship with myself and finding a way to become the person I really want to be.
I remember so vividly those first few moments all alone in my flat during lockdown – I was so scared of being alone. It was disturbing to see how difficult it was for me to come to terms with and take care of myself – how was that possible because after all I studied psychology and I always thought I had high emotional intelligence and some maturity. But I had absolutely no idea how to be good to myself or take care of myself and my needs.
In the previous years I was extremely busy, always working on one project after another and wasn’t used to being alone at all. I had some successes, but I never got to fully enjoy them. Even in the most precious moments of the youth work I started, I was still restless and tired at the same time. This inner turmoil not only bothered me, it became a real handicap in my life — it interfered with my ability to focus, engage, and pursue my goals. Even my team members noticed that I was essentially off balance.
The process of leaving my job was incredibly difficult back then. I was scared and didn’t want to let go even though I knew I wouldn’t be with the company much longer. I had become aware of this a few months earlier, at the end of 2019. Funnily enough, right at the moment I got promoted, I couldn’t feel any joy at all – just a relief that I hadn’t failed. I had basically lost all my motivation and inspiration during my years in management consulting – and replaced my determination with a feeling of anxiety. Over the years I had run out of energy and didn’t invest enough time in recharging my batteries.
I was so ashamed to realize the person I had become – and how far I had strayed from my goals for myself. Somehow I was convinced that the business environment would not change me, even if I was completely out of place there. Three years later I was still aware of my real interests, values and goals, but I had completely lost my ability to act. I totally underestimated how much energy it would take to do this job and keep this life going. I had everything else at risk, including my relationships. A wake up call was the moment I forgot my best friend’s birthday – and that this didn’t just happen to me once.
During this time I received a lot of support from my colleagues and friends at the time, for which I will always be grateful. This shared experience also made me realize that I wasn’t alone in this situation – I wasn’t the only person who had lost her true path in the pursuit of success.
I have relevant qualifications and experience
I have a Masters in Psychology and have been working as a counsellor, facilitator and trainer for 7 years.
I know the environment you are in
I can empathize with my target group – I have worked in a global consulting firm for three years and I also know what it takes to start and build an organization. We can be honest about your current situation as I understand your challenges and constraints.
I offer consultations, not lectures
I use a humanistic approach and believe that every person has the solutions to their own challenges. We always focus on you! Instead of telling you what to do, we will reflect on your situation together and find new ways.
I don’t limit myself to individualistic solutions
I follow a holistic approach because I understand how the structures in which we live affect us with all the injustices. We are not solely responsible and able to feel healthy and happy. We will deal honestly with the pressures and limitations in your life to find out what changes are possible.
Our relationship is my top priority
I would like to build long-term relationships and keep in touch regularly. I tailor my services to your professional and personal lifestyle – we can also talk when you are driving home from work or walking in the park. Of course, follow-up calls are part of every session.
